Clown day!
3 new guys show up. They are loud, having too much fun, being inconsiderate and disruptive. I get protective of Rita when I notice they are going into her space too often and not being respectful. Still experiencing chaos and disconnect. Go into the river 3 times but it doesn’t feel right, just cold.
I think about what I did on Monday to bring the group together and realize I miss my corporate leadership role. Thinking back to those days I generally think about my technical role and accomplishments. But I was actually a very successful team leader and was good at bringing diverse people and teams together. The last 5 years at my most recent job was just about making money and completely lacked creativity, leadership, and human contact.
Sharing was good and the 3 guys were ok once they settled down.
