Very powerful day
Very hard on the stomach. I feel like I have been abusing myself, now on my 11th straight week of medicine and about 30lbs of weight loss. I feel myself disconnecting and getting ready to leave. I finally need to go home and integrate and apply what I have learned before I can do more.
There is another guest named Alex. He has been here since I arrived 11 weeks ago and was in the ayahuasca ceremony with me. He and I have been through a lot together. He is younger and I have been able to give him some perspective on things important to him. He came to me by the river and presented to me a beautiful crystal. It is the most respectful gift I have ever received. He tells me how much it has meant to him to watch my journey and to be there for me, and me for him.
I am big on respect for others, but I realize that I haven’t been fully respecting what I’ve accomplished here. And if I don’t respect myself then I’m not truly respecting the medicine or the people around me and the parts they’ve played, or their journeys that I’ve witnessed and participated in.
This was an amazing lesson in self respect.
